2 Key Benefits of Taking a Blog Break

Hey and welcome to my new and improved blog.  I am so excited to share this journey with you and help you make big things happen.  I took a three to four month break from blogging to discover the “why” behind my blog, what I really wanted to do with it, and where I wanted to see it go.

Welcome to the Launch-2.png

For a while I was trying to keep up with the blogging advice of creating new content everyday.  That didn’t work out for me.  I ended up pressured to put something out there in the blogosphere just to have an updated blog post.  Blogging is a lot of work especially if you want to do great things with it.  I took a three to four month blogging break to re-evaluate the purpose behind my blog and get reconnected.  Yeah, it’s like a relationship.  I had to have a knee-to-knee with my blog and hash it out. It was the best thing I could do for myself and my blog. It’s important to feel good about what you do even through the rough moments.  In order to succeed, sometimes you have to slow down in order to go faster.

Key Benefit #1

I discovered  the “WHY” behind my blog.  This is what I did

  • Read a lot of other blogs that motivated and inspired me

  • Started to build a network

  • Spent time with my family to enjoy what matters most

  • Redefined my goals

  • Assessed what I wanted out of life

  • Stopped doing things that did not align to my goals

This blog is all about discovering your purpose, pursuing your passion, and bringing your God-Sized dream to life.  On this blog, you will read posts about faith, personal development, productivity, blogging and business tips.  I chose these very important categories because they will all help you discover or reveal more in depth your purpose, passion, and big dream.

Whether you desire to be a stay at home mom, corporate professional, turn your passion into a business and become a creative entrepreneur, start a blog, or convert your blog into a business, you need a roadmap, you need help, and it starts with knowing what your overall purpose is and why you are doing it. I have spent my wheels for many years trying to get on the right path.  I’ve attended many conferences, small group sessions, and read lots of books.  I was one of many who was always wishing that my life was her life.  Let’s be real, you know what I’m talking about - the woman who’s life you think should have been yours.  Learn to stop wishing, stop talking, and start doing

Key Benefit #2

I discovered my purpose and how I could use my blog to accomplish it. I’ve had the opportunity to mentor women who were looking for more and wanting more out of life.  Some just needed a boost or a simple word of encouragement. I overlooked this opportunity coming my way all the time thinking there was something bigger.  Well, that was the start to my big journey, but I didn’t realize it, but I would get super excited when the opportunity came around for me to motivate and inspire someone to stop daydreaming and start working the dream.

The purpose of this blog is to empower you and help you creatively strategize how to push into your purpose, pursue your passion, and get inspired to live that God-Sized dream.
