The Grace to Give for Kingdom Blessings (13)
Have you ever wondered about how grace is tied to how you give? I've learned that the areas where we need God to correct and bless the most is usually the area he will require more of you. If you want to be blessed financially, then give. Yes, I know that's hard, but it works. Now, I'm not saying give today, you will get a check in the mail tomorrow. Sorry. But, you can not be beat God giving. As a matter of fact, God is the best giver of all. When we sow into His kingdom, we will reap Kingdom blessings. I like the idea of receiving Kingdom blessings. I don't think it can get any bigger, better, and more blessed than that! You've heard, it's better to give than to receive, and this is very true. When we give, we should give cheerfully, freely, liberally, expectantly, and wisely. Yes, we must exercise wisdom in giving. No bad checks please! We should also give sacrificially, meaning something we wouldn't normally give.
The early church sold their possessions and property to meet the needs of those around them. (I think I need to have a yard sale) In Leviticus, God instructed his people to give one-tenth of their increase to support the temple. In the Old and New Testament, we have examples of women who gave all they had, one had only a little bit of flour to make one cake for her and her son and one lady had only two mites left to give. All of these people were blessed and did not have to worry about their needs. God already knows them.
You can't pay for grace, but there are many ways you thank God for His grace and many blessings. Give and it SHALL BE given unto you, press down, shaken together, running over too. So the next time you pray for a financial blessing or find yourself in financial difficulty, remember this:
GIVE AND IT SHALL BE
I believe that and I hope you do too. Give and the grace and the favor of God, will overtake you and bless you. If you don't know where to give, then the first place you can start is your local church or you can give to a global mission, local shelter, or find creative ways to give to socio-economic organizations. When you give, you are sowing generational blessings for your family; opening doors that may have been otherwise closed. When I give, I thank God for current and future provision. I believe that God will provide for my children's college education. When I give, I believe that God will make a way during difficult times. When I give, I believe God will bless me more to give more. God honors your giving and will bless you beyond your bank account.
Kingdom blessings aren't compartmentalized, they are systemic. Every area of your life shall reap of harvest of blessings.
I encourage you to ask God to give you the grace to give. It will come back to you. You can't beat God giving.
